Basic Rules and Regulations for the Quiz Competition

QUIZ RULES: -
General Rules:
1. Eligibility
• All participants must register as part of a team, with each team consisting of exactly three members. Teams with fewer or more than three members will not be eligible to participate.
• Teams must compete within their designated categories.
• Teams must register by the specified deadline and submit participant details along with their respective school ID or any valid government ID.
2. Student Categories & Team Composition:
· The student categories and the details of their respective prizes.

Participation certificates for all registered participants.
· A student can participate in only one team.
3. Language:
• The quiz will be conducted in English with questions provided to ensure better understanding.
4. Quiz Format:
• The quiz will consist of three preliminary rounds, followed by a final round.
• Questions will be tailored to the students' category level and will cover topics such as General Knowledge, Science, History, Geography, and Current Affairs, National and International level.
5. Rules for Preliminary Rounds:
ROUND-1 (Easy Peacy)-
· Each team will be asked a set of questions adapted to the level of the participants. They will be given 30 seconds for each question.
ROUND-2 (Rules for Buzzer Round) (Knowledge Knock Out)
· Each team will be asked a set of questions tailored to the participants' level. The team that presses the buzzer first will have the opportunity to answer
· There will be 4 choices, where the participants will be asked to choose one correct option.
ROUND-3 (Rules for Specialized Round) (The Knowledge Nexus)
· Each team must choose their preferred subject from Science, Social Studies, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
· Each team will be presented with a set of questions suited to the participants' level, and they will have 30 seconds to answer each question.
· Participants will be presented with four options and will be asked to choose the correct one.
FINAL ROUND (Rules for Rules – Rapid-fire Round) (The Flashpoint Finale):
· Each team will be required to nominate one member from their team.
· The nominated members will have 150 seconds to answer 10 questions in this round.
· The final round will be conducted in a QSA format, where questions will be asked directly by the quizmaster.
6. Scoring System:
Points for Correct Answers:
· A team that answers a question directly addressed to them will earn 10 points.
Points for Passed-Over Questions:
· If the team to whom a question is addressed cannot answer, it will be passed on to the next team in line.
· A team that answers a passed question correctly will earn 5 points.
Negative Marking:
· An incorrect answer during the Buzzer Round will result in a deduction of 5 points.
Response Rules:
· Teams must press the buzzer to respond.
· Failing to answer after pressing the buzzer will result in a deduction of points.
7. Scoring s Passing Rules:
Time Limit:
· Each team will have 30 seconds to answer their assigned question.
· For passed-over questions, the next team must respond immediately after the question is passed to them, or within 15 seconds.
Passing Order:
· Questions will be passed on in a clockwise direction or according to a pre-determined order of teams.
Buzzer Rules for Passed Questions (Optional):
· If buzzers are used for passed-over questions, all teams must be ready to press the buzzer immediately after the question is passed. The first team to press the buzzer will have the opportunity to answer.
Tiebreaker:
· In the event of a tie at the end of the final round, additional questions will be asked until a winner is determined.
8. Conduct Guidelines:
Rules for Participation as Participants’ Behavior:
• Teams are expected to maintain decorum throughout the event.
• Teams must arrive on time; late arrivals may result in disqualification.
• Any form of misconduct may result in disqualification.
Judges’ Decisions:
• The decision of the quizmaster and judges is final and binding.
Use of Technology:
• Electronic devices (mobiles, calculators, etc.) are not allowed during the competition.
All the Participant are requested to carry their Aadhaar/Student ID Card as an ID Proof
