Kabaddi Rules For Men
Sports shoes are mandatory for all players.
Team Composition:
- A men’s Kabaddi team consists of 7 players on the court and up to 5 substitutes.
- Players include raiders, defenders, and all-rounders.
Court Dimensions:
- The court size for men is 13 meters x 10 meters.
Match Duration:
- The match is played in two halves of 20 minutes each, with a 5-minute break in between.
Gameplay Rules:
Raid:
- A raider enters the opponent’s half chanting “Kabaddi, Kabaddi” without breaking the chant.
- The raid must be completed within 30 seconds.
- Raiders score points by touching or tagging defenders and safely returning to their half.
Defense:
- Defenders aim to stop the raider by tackling or holding them within their half.
Scoring:
- 1 point is awarded for each tagged opponent or a successful tackle.
- Bonus points can be earned if the raider crosses the bonus line without being tackled.
Super Tackle:
- A successful tackle when only 3 or fewer defenders are on the court awards 2 points.
Fouls and Violations:
- Stepping out of bounds results in elimination.
- Pulling a raider's hair or jersey is not allowed.
- Raiders cannot use physical force like kicking or punching.
Kabaddi Rules for Women
Team Composition:
- A women’s Kabaddi team consists of 7 players on the court and 5 substitutes.
Court Dimensions:
- The court size for women is slightly smaller, measuring 12 meters x 8 meters.
Match Duration:
- Matches are also played in two halves of 20 minutes, with a 5-minute break.

- Matches are conducted as per AKFI norms
- Participate certificate will be given for every participant.
- All the Participant are requested to carry their Aadhaar/Student ID Card as an ID Proof
