CHESS RULES:-

· Game Rules:

· Standard chess rules as per FIDE regulations will apply.

· Each player will be assigned either white or black pieces by a coin toss.

· White moves first, and players alternate turns.

· Time Control:

· A maximum of 20 minutes per player will be allotted for each game (rapid chess format).

· If a player exceeds their time, they automatically lose the match.

· Winning Criteria:

· The game ends in checkmate, resignation, timeout, or stalemate.

· In the event of a stalemate or insufficient material, the game is declared a draw.

· Tiebreakers can include a blitz match (5 minutes per player) or points system based on wins and draws.

· Behavior and Fair Play:

· Players must maintain silence and respect other competitors.

· Any use of external devices or guidance will lead to immediate disqualification.

· Chess Board Setup:

· The chessboard should be correctly oriented with a white square at the bottom-right corner for each player.

· Pieces must be set up in their standard positions before the start of each game.

· Referee and Decisions:

· A referee or arbiter will oversee each match to ensure fair play.

· The referee’s decision will be final in case of disputes.

· Tournament Formalities:

· Players should shake hands before and after each match.

· Respect for fellow participants and organizers is mandatory.
